Participatory Health Research (PHR) is an amalgamation of PART-IM research cluster and Public and Patient Involvement. This Research Group recognises the role the arts play in medical care as well as working with patients and not doing research on them.
This research group will be co-director by Professor Helen Phelan, Director of the Irish World Academy, University of Limerick, and Professor Anne MacFarlane, Director of UL's World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Participatory Health Research with Refugees and Migrant.
This launch took place during University of Limerick’s annual Research Week. We were joined by Professor Norelee Kennedy, Vice President of Research (VPR), and Professor Nigel Healey, UL’s Vice-President Global and Community Engagement to mark this event.
UL leads the way in the field of Participatory Health Research and the HRI is delighted to be able to support our researchers in this area.
