The Health Research Institute (HRI) recently hosted a highly successful Members' Lunch at our CRSU office, located within the CERC building at University Hospital Limerick (UHL). The event served as a vibrant platform for collaboration, networking, and showcasing the groundbreaking research being conducted by our members.

Professor Alan Donnelly, Director of the HRI, warmly welcomed a diverse gathering of HRI Full members, including esteemed academics and clinicians. The event was further enriched by the presence of Christina Hayes, a valued member of our hub committee, who presented her compelling work.

The focus of the lunch was a "whistle-stop tour" of the HRI's dynamic research groups, offering attendees an insightful overview of the diverse projects underway in both academic and clinical settings. This provided a unique opportunity for members to explore potential collaborations and discover new avenues for research engagement.

"It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout and witness the enthusiasm for collaboration," said Professor Donnelly. "The HRI is committed to fostering a supportive environment where our members can connect, share ideas, and drive impactful research."

The HRI extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the Members' Lunch, both presenters and attendees alike. We are thrilled to have brought together our members for this valuable opportunity to network and showcase the incredible work being undertaken.

We believe that these gatherings are essential for building a strong and collaborative research community. We look forward to hosting more events in the future and continuing to support our members in their pursuit of excellence.
