The Health Sciences Academy is a partnership between University of Limerick and the HSE Midwest. HSE Midwest is the new regional health structure for Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary. It includes the hospitals in the region, community health services and public health. The primary aim of the Health Sciences Academy is to bring education, training, research and innovation closer to clinical practice with the aim of improving health and well-being for people in the Mid-West.
Care Aware Crew Programme
The Care Aware Crew is a ready-to-go programme co-designed by pupils, teachers and healthcare professionals with the aim of developing health promotion and leadership skills, aligned with the SPHE curriculum, while at the same time introducing pupils to careers in healthcare.
The Junior Health Sciences Academy award-winning Care Aware Crew Programme will launch throughout the Midwest region in 2025.
