CONTEXT
Name of Creator(s): Felföldi, Dr László (b. 1947).
Biographical History: Dr László Felföldi is the head of the Folk Dance Department at the Institute for Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest and a member of a number of distinguished professional cultural organisations. His work centres on Hungarian folk dance traditions and those of Hungarian national minorities in Eastern Europe.
Immediate Source of Acquisition: Donated by Dr László Felföldi to the National Dance Archive of Ireland on 14 November 2011.
CONTENT AND STRUCTURE
Scope and Content: Books and conference proceedings relating to Hungarian folk dance and ethnochoreology, donated by Dr László Felföldi at the seminar preceding the official opening of the National Dance Archive of Ireland as a mark of friendship and collaboration between the NDAI and the Institute for Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Appraisal, Destruction and Scheduling Information: All records have been retained.
Accruals: No accruals are expected.
System of Arrangement: Publications have been divided into two series by type and thereunder arranged chronologically by date of publication.
