The Glucksman Library provides a range of toolkits in Brightspace to help students with their learning and assignments. The toolkits are self-paced learning resources with engaging interactive materials. Students can choose to complete the toolkits from start to finish, or explore the specific content as needed. To find the Glucksman Library Academic Success Toolkits, go to the Discover section on the Brightspace homepage. Then locate the toolkit you want to explore, select it, and click 'Enrol in Course'.
Assignment Toolkit
The Assignment Toolkit is designed to guide students through the various stages of completing a written assignment. It helps students learn how to search for relevant, high-quality information, critically evaluate it, and correctly reference their sources. This toolkit is available to all UL students but is particularly relevant for students new to higher education, or students returning to higher education after some time.
Special Collections and Archives Toolkit
The Special Collections and Archives Department in the Glucksman Library at UL is dedicated to acquiring, preserving, and providing access to unique and distinct materials including rare books, manuscripts, archives, and other primary sources, as well as collections of supporting published materials. The resources in their collections offer boundless opportunities for discovery and original research and are available to all UL students. The Special Collections and Archives Toolkit illustrates how to explore these materials and explains how to find, access, and use the unique resources in research.
Research Information Toolkit
The Research Information Toolkit is designed to guide students on taught postgraduate research programmes through the various stages of finding relevant and high-quality information for their literature review.
