The Library Makerspace forms part of The Library Digital Edge – a suite of technology-enhanced learning spaces that support UL@50’s vision of student-centred, flexible environments that enable creativity, collaboration and engaged learning.
Open to all UL students, faculty and staff, the Library Makerspace encourages all to create, innovate, and experiment with a range of emerging technologies including:

Cricut cutting machine & heat press

High spec PCs with innovative software to enable - 3D design, animation, coding, graphic design, video & photo editing, and much more.
The makerspace will also soon offer a wide variety of media and technology equipment that will be available to borrow & take home for FREE.
For those trying out new equipment, the library makerspace staff will offer induction and an exciting range of inclusive workshops throughout the semester - these aim to foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills among participants, and if it all goes wrong, just start over again.
