New Special Collections and Archives Toolkit

To augment the Library’s Academic Success toolkit series, a Special Collections and Archives Toolkit has been developed and is available for students on Brightspace Discover.

This toolkit offers a broad introduction to the Special Collections and Archives department and its holdings, helping students to understand the range and significance of unique materials that could enrich their research.

Students will learn how to how to find, access, and use the unique resources from the collections in their research. The toolkit assumes no prior knowledge of using archives or other primary sources, and is aimed at both undergraduate and postgraduate students to support their coursework.

Available on Brightspace Discover for self-enrollment or embedded into course modules, this toolkit will augment student visits to the reading room maximising time for students to engage more directly with the items in the collection.
