Update on Elsevier Open Access agreement

In July we notified you that we anticipated our allowance for Open Access articles with Elsevier would expire in early October.

Over the summer there has been an increase in submissions and we now believe that this allowance will run out towards the end of this month.

For Authors planning to submit to Elsevier journals, please be aware that we may not be able to fund the Article Processing Charge. This is particularly important if you plan to submit to a Gold Open Access Journal where all articles must pay an APC.

Authors publishing in Hybrid journals can still publish as a subscription article and make their article open Access by depositing a compliant version of their articles in The University of Limerick’s Open Access Repository.
