You will be choosing four subjects from those below to study in first year. You cannot choose two subjects if they are in the same group.

You will study these subjects for the whole of your first year. When choosing your year 1 subjects, it is essential to check the programme page and check what the groups are like from years 2 to 4 as they do change slightly. You will be keeping on two subjects from year 2 so you need to make sure that you have at least two subjects that do not clash. 

Notes

German and Spanish are available at both beginners and post leaving certificate level. 

French is available at post leaving certificate level only. 

Places in Psychology are not limited for first year, but there are only 30 places available for years 2-4. Those places are allocated on a competitive basis based on semester 1 grades.
