David Gutiérrezexplores early music embodying the cosmovision of   traditional   music,   giving   life   to   ancient   sounds   from   Latin   America    and    northern    Europe    through    the    lens    of    artists    immersed in oral traditions. His performance will include old Irish tunes,  English  grounds,  pre-Hispanic  music  from  South  America  on  original  instruments  and  Andean  music  on  Irish  instruments.David  is  joined  by  pianist  Yonit  Kosovske  and  guitarist  Conal  O’Kane. This performance on the European Day of Early Music (and Bach’s  birthday)  is  presented  in  collaboration  with  the  upcoming  2023   Limerick   Early   Music   Festival   taking   place   from   March   24th to 26th. David  Gutiérrez  is  a  renowned  recorder  and  whistle  player  living  in  Latin  America,  and  performing  in  different  venues  around  the  globe, including Ireland.

Conal  O’Kane  is  recognized  as  one  of  the  most  important  guitar  players in Ireland’s Traditional music scene. He is the lead guitarist of the Irish band Goitse  and, in addition to his busy tour schedule, he teaches guitar at Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and is a tutor at the Blas International Summer School of Irish Music and Dance.
