Please drop into the Academy foyer for some music, dance, and holiday treats. Funds raised will go to Doras, a Limerick based NGO supporting and promoting the rights of all migrants in Ireland. This event will feature a performance by special guests Los Paddys.

 

Los Paddys is a fusion of Celtic roots, South American rhythms and a lot more! Led by Academy graduate Co. Clare songwriter and ethnomusicologist, Paddy de las Pampas and featuring an array of incredible musicians including past and present students, the repertoire of the band consists of Irish traditional music and music from different parts of the world, from Venezuelan waltzes to Ukrainian polkas. Los Paddys original songs are often accompanied by unique and eclectic dance choreography, drawing on Irish dance, Flamenco and more. Instruments include fiddle, accordion, flute and bodhran, Gypsy jazz guitar, cuatro and cajon.
