Dr Yonit Kosovske to perform Clairières dans le ciel (‘Clearings in the Sky’) with soprano Catherine Redding

Dr Yonit Kosovske will be giving a lunchtime recital at St Mary’s Cathedral in Limerick with soprano Catherine Redding, with whom she will be performing Clairières dans le ciel (‘Clearings in the Sky’), an exquisite song cycle by Lili Boulanger (1893–1918). The thirteen texts are drawn from Tristesses (‘Sorrows’), a collection of twenty-four poems written by Francis Jammes (1868–1938). The songs are saturated with symbolism, nostalgic reflection, and intense longing for love. Admission is free. Donations are welcomed. If you can’t make it to the Limerick concert, they will be performing this programme again on March 10th in Clonmel at Finding a Voice, a wonderful festival dedicated to female composers, and again on June 11th at Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin at their Sundays @ Noon concert series.
