Russell’s second PhD performance, “Sabotage”, follows Icarus through the afterworld as he meets spirits killed by 18th century fashions. Using Irish step, Vogue and Romani dance history and traditions, this hour-long performance excavates dance’s more violent past and its enduring impact on our bodies in the present.
