Time: 1pm - 2:30pm
Location: The Living Bridge, University of Limerick

Luail is Ireland’s inaugural national and all island dance company, established in 2024 with funding from The Arts Council/ An Chomhairle Ealaíon. Luail exists to embody, embed and empower dance across the island of Ireland, and to lead into a future that transforms how we make, know and experience dance.

With our partners, The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, UL, and Maiden Voyage Dance in Belfast, we are delighted to launch the company with our Limerick friends and partners this October 23rd. The lunchtime event will journey from the Living Bridge to the Irish World Academy and on to the Irish Chamber Orchestra studio taking in speeches, signalling future collaborations, and presenting a newly commissioned performance, "Bridging" by Amir Sabra. Commissioned by Luail, the work co-creates space and dance, fostering a shared experience that draws on Sabra's own traditional Palestinian forms and his immersion in Irish culture, merging these influences with traditional Irish music and dance.
