500 years of Cinema in Spain with The Conversation Europe

On April 1, Xosé P. Boán published an article on 500 years of Cinema in Spain with The Conversation Europe. This article reflects on the content and delivery of the module "SP4001: Who are the Spaniards? Introduction to Spanish Culture."

In order to ignite student interest and shed light on such a seemingly straightforward, yet ultimately very complex question, Xosé has developed a survey of Spanish history through film for first-year students. With an expertise in Iberian Cultural, Film and Literary Studies, Xosé drew from the expert consultancy of UL's History Professor Alistair Malcolm.

The article's international distribution showcases for a global audience the intertwining of research, teaching and outreach by MLAL faculty. This article can be read on The Conversation.
