Frank Fitzgerald, a PhD student in the Department of Politics, has recently received coverage of his work in the national media for his research on the administrative effects and policy implications of the reorganisation of government departments in Ireland. Frank has contributed to RTÉ Brainstorm on the potential implications for government departments of the handover of the Taoiseach's office last December, the management of the civil service, and dynamics of economic policy-making in the 1950s. He has also been interviewed on Newstalk's 'Taking Stock with Mandy Johnston', discussing the reorganisation of departments in the UK and the potential establishment of a rural party.
