Dr. Florence Le Baron-Earle and Dr. Veronica O’Regan from the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics participated in an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training at the University of Málaga, Spain, on March 26th-28th 2025. The primary aim of this exchange was to enhance their knowledge of current approaches to audio-visual translation pedagogies, curriculum design, and relevant software.

This training will significantly contribute to the curriculum design and best practices for delivering a core module on contemporary approaches to translation in the new MA in Translation programme, which will be offered at the University of Limerick for the first time in the 2025/26 academic year.

This initiative builds on the existing partnership between UL and the University of Málaga, further strengthening the ongoing cooperation and collaboration between faculty at both institutions. Additionally, it supports the internationalisation strategies of both universities and the internationalisation of their curricula.
