Val O’Connor’s ‘Black Forest’, which she wrote while a student on the MA in Creative Writing (2021) has just won the Kenneth Branagh New Drama Writing Award at the Windsor Fringe Festival in the UK. It was performed by Jackie Pulford and directed by Amanda Noar. This is a wonderful achievement as more than 3,000 entries were received for this major playwriting competition. Congratulations to Val and to our colleagues in Creative Writing.
