Celebration of Irish, Finnish and Sami Languages and Music

Embassy of Finland was pleased to invited everyone to an Afternoon celebrating Irish, Finnish and Sami languages and music at the Irish World Academy to experience interactive cross-cultural performances in contemporary formats focusing on Irish, Finnish and Sami languages in diverse art forms. This included the Sean-nós performance by Dr Sorcha de Brún and performances from the Irish World Academy students as well as hear insights from Prof Helen Kelly-Holmes, Prof Eoin Devereux, Dr Deirdre Ni Loingsigh. This event was organized jointly by the Embassy of Finland and University of Limerick as part of celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Finland.
