Espresso Shot of Thought

For National Poetry Day on the 28th of April, three initial 'Espresso Shots of Thought' by our Creative Writing MA students will be going out live on the AHSS Youtube channel. The videos will be freely available to view online and will air at the following times :

11:00am - Noelle Lynskey

1:00pm - Maeve Keane

3:00pm - Jane Babb

Inspired by British-Indian poet Daljit Nagra's assertion that: ‘poetry is an espresso shot of thought’ this series of short 3-5 minute videos offers a jolt of fresh poetic insight from our students. Well done to Noelle, Maeve and Jane on getting this exciting project off the ground during Poetry Month and to our brilliant Meskell UL-Fifty Poet in Residence, Dr Emily Cullen (www.emilyecullen.com), for designing and initiating it. I understand that there will be subsequent 'espresso shots' airing each month in the near future!
