As part of Fiontar and Scoil na Gaeilge's 2024/25 Research Seminar Series, Dr Sorcha de Brún gave a talk on film adaptation in Dublin City University on April 2. 

The title of the talk was “An cóiriú scannánaíochta agus an charachtracht fhireann: ‘Seacht gCéad Uaireadóir’ le Micheál Ó Conghaile (Seoighe/Ó Braonáin, 2011)”. Attended by staff and students of Fiontar and Scoil na Gaeilge, the talk focused on cinematic technique in a number of films funded by TG4, Screen Ireland and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. 

In addition, Dr de Brún was interviewed on BBC Ulster programme 'Blas' about literary translation on Tuesday April 8. Listen to this episode. 

This followed two podcast interviews with Antioch University Los Angeles Literary Citizen podcast, LitCit, published on March 7 and March 25. Sorcha will be a guest reader and lecturer on the Master of Fine Arts June Residency Programme in LA Antioch in June, 2025. Listen to these interviews.
