Inclusive Intercultural Workshop

The ADI Dr Angela Farrell in conjunction with Dr Sarah Smail presented the first Intercultural Workshop on “Inclusive Internationalisation at Home” in the Globe on Wednesday 2nd October 2024. The workshop was attended by both academic and support staff from across the faculty along with many of our international students and visiting scholars.

Islam Ben Adel one of our Algerian ISPhD students also spoke about his and other international students’ positive experiences here in the University of Limerick. The ADI would like to thank all involved in the workshop. The next workshop is due to take place on Wednesday 6th November 2024, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm in the Globe. The theme of this workshop will be “Internationalising the Curriculum and Teaching and Learning (across all subject discipline areas)” The Workshop will focus on inclusive pedagogical approaches that can be applied to internationalise the curriculum, and teaching and learning activities, highlighting examples of best practice from different HE contexts. This workshop is intended for teaching staff.
