On 2 March, the Department of History was delighted to host Dr Gavin Wilk, who delivered a fascinating seminar paper under the title of ‘“My … cape is faded and torn”: Irish Immigrant Nurses, the American Red Cross and the First World War.’ Dr Wilk is a Ph.D. graduate of the department, who now works for UL Global. It was a pleasure to welcome him back.
