New publication by Dr Karol Mullaney-Dignam

Dr Karol Mullaney-Dignam (History) has contributed to a new volume titled Women and Music in Ireland, published by the Boydell Press (an imprint of Boydell & Brewer) as part of its 'Irish Musical Studies' series. The first study of its kind, the book explores the world of women’s professional and amateur musical activity as it developed on and beyond the island of Ireland. Dr Mullaney-Dignam's chapter surveys the role of music in elite women's lives in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
