Professor Eoin Devereux, Centre for the Study of Popular Music and Popular Culture was invited by the Kemmy Business School, UL to curate a permanent display on the late Limerick TD, historian and author Jim Kemmy. It is now on display on Floor One of the Kemmy Business School UL. Professor Devereux stated: "In writing about Jim Kemmy's legacy, I wanted to capture all facets of his life. His working class upbringing, his activism as a trade unionist and as a committed socialist. Kemmy was self-educated and placed a very strong emphasis on life long learning. I wanted to stress the continued relevance of Kemmy's ideas in the world of education and in business education in particular." The two part display documents Kemmy's life, his key achievements and his vast contribution to the cultural life of Limerick City.
