Student Success in DAAD Scholarships

Warmest congratulations to our four first-year students of German Ellen Fitzgerald, Aoife Mannion, Aysha Shareef (all Bachelor of Education in Languages), Isabel Killeen (1^st Yr International Business with German), Ciara Sheehan (4^th yr BA Arts, German and History) and Ciaran Kelly (BA Arts), who have all received University Summer Course scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Thanks to these prestigious and highly competitive scholarships, these students will be participating in summer courses at German universities this summer and will also receive additional funding.

The German Section would like to thank the German Academic Exchange Service for their continuing support and for recognising our students‘ dedication to, and enthusiasm for, their German Studies. Many thanks are also due to Anne Nospickel, our DAAD lector and to Alberta Tagliacozzo, our DAAD language assistant, for their support of all candidates throughout the application process and for their wider promotion of DAAD activities.
