The Japanese Section welcomes a Teaching Assistant

Starting in Week 5 and throughout the academic year 2024/2025, the Japanese Section will be hosting a Japanese language assistant.

Her name is Mie Shimbayashi and comes from Nara (Japan). Mie is taking part in the Post Primary Languages Ireland's Foreign Language Assistant scheme, which aims to provide additional support to school communities to experience the target language and culture with a native speaker. This role is funded by the Department of Education. This first semester, Mie will be joining the Japanese Section on Wednesdays to support first, third and fourth-year language and culture modules.
