The Limerick Irish Algerian Friendship (LIAF) Group enjoying the Continuation Exhibition Launch

Continuation is an exhibition bringing together new work by nine Limerick based artists who have formed connections through their practices over the course of two decades. The exhibition aims to honour Limerick’s history of group shows, from Sean Keating’s exhibitions in the 1930’s and spanning through generations of Limerick painters who trained at Limerick School of Art and Design.

The work shows traces of the reality of the age that we live in, and the enormous upheaval of our times. Viewing these dynamic pieces will leave you with a feeling of paintings continual relevance and reinvention in these times of great upheaval.

Members of the ISPhD AHSS Cohort and the Limerick Irish Algerian Friendship (LIAF) Group volunteered at this Exhibition launch at the Peoples' Museum of Limerick. The event featured a special performance by a musician from the Irish Chamber Orchestra.  

-Exhibition runs until Thursday 7th October 2021.
-Exhibition opening times: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm.
