The School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics invited Jonas Hirschi(Diplomatic Documents of Switzerland, Berne), to give the guest lecture ‘Ireland-Switzerland – The diplomatic relations between two island nations’. Ireland and Switzerland are both island nations: one geographically and the other one politically. Jonas is pursuing how diplomatic relations between the two states have developed with research in the National Archives in Bern and Dublin.
