A global co-op offers students all the benefits of a traditional co-op while providing a unique opportunity to explore the world and immerse themselves in diverse cultures and work environments. This experience is not only a pathway to fluency in a new language but also a chance to engage in exciting activities—whether it’s skiing, mountain climbing, or even playing for the Frankfurt hurling team! Participating in a global co-op enhances your CV and gives you a competitive edge in the job market, making you stand out to potential employers.

Meet Brian O’Donovan.

As a Mathematical Sciences student, Brian completed his global placement with Philips in Eindhoven. Here’s a glimpse into his transformative experience: "During my cooperative education period, I was immersed in innovation at the High Tech Campus in the Netherlands. Surrounded by cutting-edge technology and collaborating with brilliant minds, I sought personal enrichment through friendships and travel. I forged strong connections with fellow interns and locals, gaining invaluable insights into a mosaic of global perspectives that enhanced my cultural sensitivity. Each weekend, I explored the Netherlands, from the vibrant streets of Amsterdam to the tranquil beauty of Texel Island. This experience served as a gateway to broader European adventures, each journey expanding my horizons and deepening my appreciation for the continent's diversity. My Dutch internship was not just a chapter of personal growth; it became a passport to wanderlust-filled discoveries and a wealth of new perspectives."
