Cooperative Education is delivered in three main phases:

  1. Preparing for Cooperative Education
  2. Interviews and selection
  3. Placement and evaluation

To help you prepare for your co-op placement there are a series of employability lectures, workshops and information sessions facilitated by the co-op team. These sessions begin in the 2nd semester of the year before your placement. They will help to:

  • Explain the concept of the Cooperative Education Programme
  • Advise you on how to present your skills on your co-op CV
  • Help you to reflect and prepare for the opportunity and challenge of Cooperative Education
  • Provide application and deadline details
  • Prepare you for your co-op interview
  • Advise you on employer expectations
  • Advise you on evaluation of co-op

These mandatory sessions will give you essential information about co-op, allow you to meet the co-op team, and provide you with an opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
