Cooperative Education Programme aims to provide students with a unique opportunity to develop the professional skills and personal competencies that are expected in a modern global workplace. The focus of faculty visits in supporting this transition from the classroom to the workplace is to:

  • facilitate discussion on the work assignment and the student’s progress with both the student and their supervisor
  • prompt the student to reflect on the placement in the context of subject-specific and transferable learning outcomes
  • discuss any challenges that the student is experiencing on placement
  • help the student to scope opportunities for further career development and to develop an understanding of the world of work
