In this session, James presents his experience and insights around coordinating and teaching on three research methods modules in combination, which implied managing large classes through a combination of cohorts in a single site. The student experience was enhanced by multiple self-assessment quizzes, mobile friendly tutorials, heavy use of multimedia and use of release conditions to provide a level of personalization.

In this first session of the second series of Show and TEL, Maura and Sinead present the Science and Engineering Community of Practice in Brightspace, which has been developed to address the practical and realistic support needs of academics as they get to grips with Brightspace and develop their teaching sites. It is also a space where they demonstrate good practices and design principles for online environments.
