Course Overview
What makes for an effective CV? What differences would you expect for academic versus Industry roles? How should a CV be tailored? Learn from examples of effective CVs. Steps to developing a strong CV. Develop a framework for your own CV.
One week before this workshop participants will need to submit the following:
- A brief outline of their research area along with the name of their academic department
- A copy of their current CV (don’t worry if this is not up to date as they will have time to work on it)
And
- Details of a job description they are replying to (if relevant) or types of jobs they hope to apply for …websites such as www.euraxess.ec.europa.eu; www.heanet.ie/vacancies; www.universityvacancies.com, www.jobs.ac.uk or www.indeed.ie might be useful for those who do not yet have a specific role in mind.
Trainee Requirements
