Course Overview
Everyone knows that networking is important but it can be very daunting. Walking into a room full of strangers and making connections, approaching a renowned researcher at a conference, or making contact with someone you have never met can feel awkward and uncomfortable. Yet, this is probably one of the most essential and useful skills to have as an academic to advance your research strategy.
This session is designed to build on your skills and confidence to network for success as part of your Research Strategy. The focus will be on practical tips and techniques when networking face to face: at conferences, networking events, planned & chance meetings or telephone discussions.
