Course Overview
All staff are required to employ good records management practices in line with the UL Records Management Policy (available at UL Policy Hub).
Course Objectives/Outcomes
This practical one-hour session covers:
- the aims & benefits of records management - why we need to manage records;
- creating, storing and using records;
- managing confidential records;
- keeping records secure - security and access controls;
- electronic records and e-mail;
- retention, appropriate disposal and archiving - how long to keep records and how to securely dispose of them/archive.
