Student Feedback on your Teaching
Students are asked to evaluate their experiences of teaching in virtually every higher education institution across the world. In the main they take place at the end of a module or course and ask students various questions relating to their experience. The results from these evaluations can be used in many different ways. Here at Limerick, we want you to see the results from these as an opportunity to critically reflect upon where you are as an academic. It may have been a while since you looked at your teaching and how it is going. It may also have been a while since your students gave you some feedback. It could be that now you feel it is time to reflect upon this and enact the feedback you have received. After all the main purpose of student evaluations is not just for quality assurance purposes. The evaluations could be a chance to use the evaluations as a stimulus to develop, modify, tweak, or enhance your teaching practice.
