UL's Integrated Curriculum Development Framework

UL is committed to providing a transformative learning experience to our students

As part of this process our Integrated Curriculum Development Framework (ICDF), assists programme teams to work together to co-construct dynamic, enacted, responsive and responsible programmes and modules.

To ensure a consistent, positive and coherent approach to our students’ learning journeys, the ICDF embeds the synergy between teaching and research, fostering learning that is:

The purpose of UL's ICDF is to:

Establish a shared understanding of the curriculum across the university
Provide guidance on the planning, designing, assessing and evaluation of programmes
Align and connect with processes for programme design, approval and review
Incorporate content, pedagogy and learning for sustainability
Provide a foundation for a positive and coherent student experience and involvement in the curriculum
Assist with embedding the UL Graduate Attributes to articulate the distinctiveness of a UL education and our UL Graduates

The ICDF draws on national and international standards to ensure coherent and consistent academic programme development.
